Tesla Charger Installation in Gilbert, AZ

You didn't buy a Tesla to plan your life around charging stops. A Wall Connector in the garage means the car starts every morning at whatever charge limit you set — no Supercharger lines, no math.

AC/DC Electric installs Tesla Wall Connectors across Gilbert and the East Valley: the dedicated circuit, the breaker, the mounting, the Wi-Fi setup, the permit. Licensed, bonded, and insured, with a flat price quoted before work starts and a phone that answers 24/7.

Watch for these

Signs it's time for a Wall Connector

  • Still charging on the Mobile Connector at 120 volts
  • Weekly Supercharger runs because home charging is too slow
  • A new Tesla on order and a bare garage wall
  • Two Teslas taking turns on one plug
  • A long commute that outruns overnight trickle charging
  • The Wall Connector you bought months ago is still boxed

Gen 3, wired for everything it's got

The Gen 3 Wall Connector can deliver up to 48 amps — but only when it's hardwired on a 60-amp circuit with conductors sized for a continuous load. Land it on a smaller breaker and the unit still works, just slower than what you paid for. We wire it for the full rate your panel supports and set the charger's amperage correctly in software during commissioning.

Panel can't spare 60 amps? The Wall Connector dials down cleanly, and power sharing lets two connectors split one circuit intelligently — a smart play for two-car garages. If the panel itself is the bottleneck, we'll price an electrical panel upgrade alongside so you can compare.

NACS is taking over — your install should be ready

Tesla's plug, now standardized as NACS, is being adopted across the industry, with most major automakers moving to it. That makes a Wall Connector a longer bet than it used to be: the plug on your wall matches where the market is heading. And Tesla's Universal Wall Connector adds a built-in J1772 adapter for households with one Tesla and one of anything else.

Why AC/DC Electric

A Wall Connector pulls a continuous 48-amp load for hours — real heat on every connection between the panel and the plug. This is not the job for the cheapest bid. Our licensed electricians size the wire for continuous duty, torque every termination to spec, and pull the permit so the work is inspected and documented.

Flat quote first, always. And if a charging fault ever strands you at 5 a.m., we answer the phone — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, across the whole East Valley.

FAQ

Straight answers

What size circuit does a Tesla Wall Connector need?

Up to 60 amps for the full 48-amp charge rate, but it's adjustable — the unit runs happily on smaller circuits at reduced speed. We do a load calculation on your panel first, then wire the largest circuit it can safely support. The charge rate gets locked in during setup so the breaker and the charger always agree.

Can other EVs use a Tesla Wall Connector?

Increasingly, yes. Many newer EVs ship with NACS ports or can charge through an adapter. For a household mixing a Tesla with another brand, the Universal Wall Connector is the cleaner answer — it has a built-in J1772 adapter, so both cars plug in natively. Tell us what's in the garage and we'll match the hardware.

Wall Connector or Mobile Connector — which do I need?

The Mobile Connector on a 240-volt outlet can cover a short commute. The Wall Connector charges faster, mounts permanently, handles weather, manages the cable neatly, and supports power sharing for a second Tesla. If the car is your daily driver, the Wall Connector is the one you stop thinking about.

Do I buy the Wall Connector myself, or do you supply it?

Either works. Plenty of owners order the unit straight from Tesla and have us handle the circuit, mounting, and commissioning. If you'd rather we take care of sourcing too, ask when you call for your quote and we'll price the job both ways.
